About Me

My name is Kota Shibui (he/him) and I am an English major and a class of 2023 at Carleton College, MN. My passion is learning new words and as such I prefer bad puns to mediocre stories. When I am not looking up words in my CASIO electronic dictionary, I like to take a walk outside, listen to the Indian raga music, or play volleyball. I am hoping to work in the publishing field after graduation.

I hope that our site gives you a glimpse into the experiments with textual technology which we did as a group, and which you can try on your own as well. These experiments certainly changed the way that I look at text, and now I pay more attention to the materiality, textuality, and sociology related to a text. I hope that our site, especially with examples of edition proposals that my peers and I made, would help conceptualize and visualize the possibilities of textual technology.
