This section presents each individual text in chronological order, beginning with the reference text, Chapter 3 of the Book of Ruth, and ending with the latest translation from 2009. Looking at the text in this way allows the reader to appreciate each version in isolation but also as part of a broader whole. By placing the versions in chronological order, the reader is able to see how the text transformed over time.
